Introducing the Education Empowerment Fund

Karen Visser

Updated: Nov 13, 2024

Our Education Sponsorship Program (ESP) aims to help release children and families from poverty. By providing education to students, they are empowered to learn and develop essential skills that will lead to employment and sustainable income.

Apart from school fees and uniforms, a large part of the ESP includes the providing additional materials and mentoring support for our students as they progress through school and university.

Earlier this year, one of our students in Rwanda, Alice, had been suffering from headaches and was finding studying challenging. Alice visited a local clinic that identified that Alice needed glasses. After receiving her new glasses, our partners, CARSA, in Rwanda shared, "The glasses are making a big difference for Alice. Now she can see and study well. Thank you for supporting her".

The ever-growing needs of our students prompted the launch of the Education Empowerment Fund, which aims to provide support for items outside of traditional  school fees and materials. This support may be in the form of:

👜 Internship kits

💻 Laptops or cellphones

🎓 Graduation gifts

🩺 Medical needs (such as glasses)

❤️ Mentoring and training

🏫 Additional school and university fees

We invite you to join our incredible group of sponsors part who play a significant role in empowering our students to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Head over to our donations page to make a monthly donation towards these valuable resources.

Your generous love, care and support can help transform the lives of these students by equipping them with what they need to thrive ✨
